Deep Rock Galactic Halloween 2026: Rewards and Event Deadline

Hoxxes Halloween 2026 is live in Deep Rock Galactic as of Ghost Ship Games' October 22 announcement. It is a time-limited event, not a permanent new season: the developer says it ends Thursday, November 5 at 13:00 CET. On October 27, there is still time to complete the event assignments, but a reader arriving after the deadline should check the current game rather than assume the rewards remain obtainable. The useful choices are which assignment to take and whether to spend time chasing flying skulls for performance points.

Two assignments reward different hats

Completing the Halloween assignment awards the new Straw Boss headgear. Ghost Ship separately names “Last Year's Horrors” as the route to previous Halloween hats for players who missed them. These are not described as a single automatic login reward. Open the assignment terminal and confirm you have chosen the reward path you actually want before beginning several missions. If your play time is limited, prioritize the item that will be unavailable to you after this year's event window.

Flying skulls and performance points

The announcement says crews can shoot down flying skulls and deposit them for a Double Performance Point Bonus. The deposit step matters: eliminating a skull is not the complete instruction. During an objective mission, coordinate with teammates so hunting event objects does not leave the primary task unfinished or a miner isolated. The post does not state an unlimited bonus or that every mission has identical skull spawns. Use the current event interface for the exact count and progress needed.

Space Rig decorations and separate merchandise

Ghost Ship describes the Space Rig as haunted for the event, including themed atmosphere around the Abyss Bar. That is flavor, not an additional progression requirement. The same post also mentions a pre-order deadline for physical DRG beer mugs on October 31. Those mugs are merchandise, not an in-game Halloween reward; do not confuse that sales deadline with the November 5 event end. Check any external shop's current availability and price separately if merchandise is your interest.

A short event plan

Check the local time conversion for 13:00 CET on November 5, then choose the Halloween or Last Year's Horrors assignment based on the hats you lack. During missions, collect skulls only when the team can deposit them safely and still complete its normal objective. Claim rewards before the event closes and review the live game if this article is read later. For class roles and cave navigation, see our Deep Rock Galactic guide page. This is a summary of the official event notice, not a report of a personally completed assignment.
