HELLDIVERS 2 Scope of Authority Warbond: Weapons and Unlocks

Arrowhead's Scope of Authority Premium Warbond for HELLDIVERS™ 2 launched on October 20, 2026, according to its official Steam announcement. It is built around long-range fire, concealment and a response when enemies close the distance. “Premium” is important: the post says the base game, Super Credits and game progression are required to unlock its contents. Do not treat the gear list as free starter equipment for every new Helldiver.

What the Warbond adds

The R-40 Sightliner is a bolt-action primary sniper rifle advertised for armored targets and precision at range. The P-44 Mist is a compact one-handed machine pistol intended as a faster fallback. Arrowhead also names the backpack-fed AMW-20 Apex anti-materiel rifle with assisted reload, and the charge-based LAS-44 Nova energy rifle. The G-11 Caltrops spreads proximity-triggered submunitions that slow and stun enemies. These descriptions explain roles, not exact damage numbers or a guarantee that one choice dominates every mission.

Armor is part of the same plan

The announcement lists SS-33 Mimetic Marshal light armor and SS-15 Focal Point medium armor. Both have the Stationary Shroud passive, described as reducing weapon sway and detection range while crouched or prone. That condition is easy to overlook: the passive is not described as always-on concealment while sprinting. Coordinate positions with the squad so a long-range shooter has sight lines without being isolated. A powerful rifle is less useful if no teammate can cover an enemy that reaches the firing position.

How to decide whether it is worth unlocking

Ask whether you actually enjoy a slower, position-conscious role. A team already struggling with short-range pressure may benefit more from the Mist or Caltrops than from another long-range rifle. If you value exact weapon statistics, check the live game after patches; the announcement is a launch description, not an eternal balance sheet. Review the current Super Credits cost and progression requirements in-game before spending. Other cosmetics named in the post include matching capes, cards, an emote and the Longshot title, but those do not replace a mission loadout.
